Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter, this collaboration captures the essence of both series, offering a fully transforming figure that transitions between two distinct forms: the “Rathalos Mode” and the “Optimus Prime Mode” equipped with Rathalos armor. TAKARA TOMY, known for its expertise in crafting intricate transforming toys, has used extensive experience to bring this extraordinary concept to life.

In “Rathalos Mode,” the figure faithfully recreates the iconic look of the “King of the Skies” from Monster Hunter, with its detailed wings, vibrant scale patterns, and characteristic claws. Despite housing the inner structure of Optimus Prime, the figure maintains the imposing and dynamic silhouette of Rathalos. The model has multiple articulation points in the head, wings, and legs, allowing for a range of flying and walking poses, making it highly interactive and fun to display.

Transforming into “Optimus Prime Mode,” the Rathalos exterior ingeniously converts into a formidable armor set for the Autobot leader. The dragon’s wings and scales transform into protective armor plates, while the tail becomes a multifunctional weapon known as the “Charged Axe.” This weapon can switch between a sword mode and an axe mode, mirroring the unique weapon mechanics in the Monster Hunter series. Optimus Prime’s traditional Matrix of Leadership is replaced with a unique “Collaboration Matrix” that can be stored within the figure, symbolizing the unity of both franchises.
